In 2010, shortly after welcoming my youngest child, I turned my lifelong passion for photography into a career. I craved a flexible schedule and the chance to freeze life’s fleeting moments for families like yours. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of families throughout DC, Northern Virginia, and the surrounding areas.
My style blends lifestyle photography with classic posed portraits. I focus on creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere where genuine smiles and candid moments unfold naturally. Welcome to my little slice of the internet! I am a wife, mother to
three teens (and two crazy rescue pups), and a photographer. I specialize in maternity, newborn and family portraits. I started this business in March of 2010 when I had three small children. After giving birth to my youngest, I decided that I wanted to create a business that would give me a flexible schedule and that would also allow me to turn my lifelong love of photography into a career.
My photography style is relaxed and fun so that my clients’ true personalities shine through in the portraits. I strive to strike a balance between lifestyle and posed portraits in each session, because lifestyle photos truly capture the fun dynamics of each family, but let’s face it, we all want some photos with the whole gang smiling and looking at the camera, too. Oh, and I'm always chasing the perfect light, so be prepared to stop on a dime when I find beautiful light dappling through the trees or a prefect sun-flare moment :)
